The Pro Bono Training Institute’s goal is to provide an easy to use online training experience. However, sometimes technical glitches do arise, and PBTI’s staff hopes this page will provide you with some general PBTI FAQs that will hopefully provide some quick fixes.

MCLE FAQs
Where can I find my MCLE certificate? To access any California Self-Study CLE earned through PBTI before September 12, 2024, log in using the account associated with those CLEs and click on the MCLE Archive link in your user dashboard. All CLEs linked to your account will be listed there.
Any new CLEs you acquire will be available in the “My Courses” tab located at the top of PBTI’s website.
What happens if the MCLE Certificate is not located in my user profile? Ensure that you have watched the video and fully submitted and taken the quiz (if available) associated with the training module. The certificate will only be generated once you have completed the course (i.e., the video and available quiz).
Can you offer CLE for states outside of California? PBTI is only able to offer California Self-Study CLE credit.
Is the CLE Participatory of Self-Study? All CLE on PBTI is self-study CLE.
Can my office do a groupcast of a video so everyone can receive CLE at the same time? Due to short staffing, PBTI does not coordinate groupcasts. Additionally, CLE is generated on an individual basis and therefore each individual trainee must watch the video on their own account in order to receive CLE.
Accessing Training Modules FAQs
Why can’t I start a course? All trainees must create a user account before accessing training materials. You can create an account in the upper right hand corner.
I’m logged in as a user. How can I start a course? Click the “Start Learning” button on the in the upper right hand corner to start the course.
How can I complete a course? All courses contain a user video and most include a short quiz to review your learning. A trainee must watch the entire video and submit the quiz (if available).
I’ve watched the training module video and completed the quiz and nothing happens. Ensure that you have clicked the “Complete Course” button on the training module page.
